About The Anna Anointing Event
The Anna Anointing Banquet was created as a tribute to Pastor Claudia Y Johnson who worked joyfully and consistently as an evangelist for the Kingdom, raising up many powerful women of God in her lifetime, until her final breath. Its aim is to recognize other women, like Pastor Johnson, who have served God in every facet of their lives and spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ as they watch and wait for His second coming, just like Anna in the Bible (Luke 2:36-38).
Join us as we recognize this year’s awardee in celebration of their years of service in the Kingdom of God.
The Biblical Story of Anna
Luke 2:36-38
“There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.
Coming up to them (Jesus, Mary and Joseph) at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.”
