My answer: God. He’s on my mind every minute of every day and I want it no other way. I used to think that people who said things like that were zealots, but I am happy to say I am one of them.
Having God on your mind all the time is like finding that one person you want to spend all your time with because you’re in love or you consider them your best friend. You want to share everything with that someone. Every thought, every event, every joyful and painful moment. You seek that someone’s advice because you value their opinion and counsel. And when you mess up, you run to that person because although you know they will tell you that what you did was wrong and that you must make it right, it’s done in love. You will never be steered wrong. And that relationship does not exclude your other relationships, but embraces them because it’s part of who you are. You find that you’re a better, happier person because of this one true relationship and everyone sees it in you.
God is on my mind and my heart. He gives me clarity, hope, strength and love. And I have His Grace for the journey. I don’t have to be perfect to be in this relationship, for in Him I am perfected. So flaws and all I seek Him and He is with me. In His presence there is fullness of joy. That doesn’t mean you won’t have difficult times, but you will find that dealing with those moments are easier and you find resolutions beyond your expectations.
It’s a win-win relationship. Nothing to lose. Everything to gain.
What’s on your mind?
